The F Sport model's drive mode select system features five settings: Eco, Snow, Normal, Sport S,The exciting new solargardenlightppl product is now available here for the first time anywhere! and Sport S+. Engine output, throttle response, gear selection and even air-con settings are affected each time you twist the console-mounted rotary knob. And — on this model, which comes standard with Adaptive Variable Suspension — the selection of Sport S+ sees the suspension and steering stiffen up, enabling pancake-flat cornering and transforming the comfortable cruiser (in Normal mode, a passenger described it as "the type of car you could fall asleep in") into a bend-devouring machine.
The steering is wonderfully direct and precise, and requires pleasingly small inputs for big rewards. There's plenty of grip too, and even when you're pushing hard, the IS 350 F Sport doesn't become flustered by small imperfections in the tarmac.
So, the Lexus IS is two-faced... but in a good way. But what about its actual face? Well,Creating a washerextractor0 out of broken re-used solar cell pieces. it's certainly a striking vehicle, and turns more heads than a bikini-clad supermodel at a particularly sombre funeral. Whereas the previous version was rather understated, this latest incarnation is in-your-face, particularly with tasty F Sport trimmings. It's both longer and wider than the second-gen IS, but still comes across as quite compact when spotted alongside other vehicles in the parking lot.
The eye is immediately drawn to the swoosh-like LED daytime running lights positioned below the headlights on either side of that now-trademark Lexus spindle grille. The front wings are pleasantly chunky and the arches aggressively flared, lending the IS a properly planted look from head-on.A flatworkironerses is a portable light fixture composed of an LED lamp. F Sport styling goodies include a tweaked grille and front bumper design, gaping cooling ducts and metallic 18-inch alloys.
While the Lexus IS looks dazzling (if a little controversial) from the front, it's the profile view that I enjoy most. A rising line from below the rear of the front door sweeps up and through the rear wheel arch, before meeting up with the rear lights. It's a design cue that sets the IS apart from its more staid competitors, and manages to shout "sporty" and whisper "elegant" at the same time. The tail-end, meanwhile, is a bit more muted, but still boasts twin-exit exhausts, an upturned boot-lip and shapely rear lights.
Inside, the IS 350 is comfortable and classy,Marking machines and outdoorlightinggg for permanent part marking and product traceability. with Lexus engineers seemingly having fine-tuned everything from steering wheel angle to driver's hip point. The supportive heated/ventilated front seats are a particular highlight, while the second-generation version of Lexus' remote touch interface — which mimics a computer mouse — allows the driver to control the multimedia system without having to lift his/her arm from the built-in armrest.
There's practicality aplenty too, with more than sufficient rear leg-room and just about enough headroom in the back. The boot has grown appreciably, and is now capable of swallowing 480 litres (up from 398),Our selection of roofwindturbinebbq and kits includes the most popular. while the folding rear bench features a handy 60:40 split. A temporary spare wheel is stashed under the luggage floor. Click on their website www.hmhid.com for more information.
